    Spring Scholarships

    To be eligible for scholarships, members and/or chapter leadership must be present at the conference. The travel scholarships and conference reimbursement awards are intended for students whose schools do not provide the majority of funding for conference attendance.

    Travel scholarships

    To be awarded to up to 10 members who:

    • demonstrate financial need and are paying for at least part of their travel expenses out of pocket
    • write a short statement (no more than 400 words) describing how this scholarship will benefit the applicant and how attending this conference will contribute to their growth as an osteopathic medical student.

    To be awarded to up to 10 members who:

    • Exemplify outstanding local/national activities
    • write a short statement (no more than 400 words) describing how they will contribute to the growth of the osteopathic field and ACOS-MSS.

    Poster and Podium Presentation Awards

    1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes to be awarded to students presenting exceptional original research in the category of poster presentations and podium presentations. To be announced at each conference following judging.


    Community Service Scholarship
    To be awarded to one member who:

    • Exemplifies local/national community service activities
    • Demonstrate a commitment towards providing medical care to the underserved
    • Provide a statement (no more than 400 words) detailing how they will use the scholarship towards their future efforts

    *for the service award at the 2023 Spring Conference in Denver, a winner will be selected from the participants of our volunteer drive. The top 5 service projects will be presented and voted on by members at the upcoming Spring conference in April. The top 5 chapters will be notified by March 31st*

     Chapter Scholarship

    Awarded to an ACOS-MSS chapter that:

    • Provides a statement (no more than 400 words) describing how the scholarship would be used
    • Demonstrates a commitment to their local community through service or other outreach activities
    • Has demonstrated timeliness in submitting paperwork and communications throughout the year
    • Is represented at the current ACOS-MSS convention

    Chapter, Travel, and Registration Scholarships are due April 1, 2023!

    National ACOS-MSS reserves the right to modify award amounts to commensurate with the available funds and award scholarships based on the number of applications received.
